Description
Hunting for A Christmas Tree initially took a life of its own, starting with an empty triangle to see what I could draw inside it with long sweeping scrolls as my goal. The horns of the stag emerged first and then the bird of prey, slightly dragon-esque, developed as I filled in the space. A forest setting at Christmas time had been created. The original is a white background and red colored pencils with wet brush added. Green glow was added digitally in order to achieve a more colorful selection.
Two hidden animals in the design make this piece a fun puzzle to the eye and great Christmas kid's game.
