Artist's Description
The leaf of an areca palm, aka butterfly palm, stands in as a cobalt purple peacock plume in this artographic rendition. I love how many plants with large exotic leaves can take center stage in art pieces, and carry a full focus. Here, the palm is in cosplay as a peacock feather, starting as a simple leaf photo, then full of bold splashy colors and digipaint. My plant love starts as a photo then takes a turn down happy street to the semi abstract party!
