Description
In east TEXAS, I had the opportunity to catch a wonderful perennial favorite of Springtime fancy, the Azalea, in its larger form. This size plant with its larger blossoms are a little harder to come by, though I remember as a young teen, my father had a similar one planted in our Texas garden. It was this same color and got the most compliments from neighbors. My photograph features painterly effects added for effect. Ageing colors on the birdbath as well as added light flares to insinuate the sun bouncing off the waters of the bath pedestal. This particular Azalea was growing under a large faded tree with interesting crooked branches and I wanted to capture how this created a canopy effect. I hope it is enjoyed by another azalea lover.
