Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

A 'first of Spring' cut flower arrangement from my garden. The black background contrasts dramatically with these beautiful heralds of springtime. The background was fully digipainted black as an enhancement for the whole piece. I arranged them in a blue and white vase and photographed the setup with negative space in mind. The higher flower stands above the rest and creates a break for the eye, while symbolic of a lookout or sentinel. In the Japanese art form "Ikebana", there are minimalist designs that go according to rules governing the 5 steps that comprise the art form. The outcome is often quite similar to this one.

Definitely wonderful to see "LOOKOUT SCOUT DAFFODIL", a Japanese Ikebana inspired floral ( I also did the arrangement), FEATURED in ART SALON . Heralds of Spring are quite often daffodils, to name among scant few others, that are harbingers for N. American gardens.
