A sampling of Texas summer's beautiful bevy of floral bounty. Sunflowers in three closeup views in a country garden, for picking and keeping forever in decor and design.
These were started as seeds and nurtured for their lovely displays. It's sometimes a surprise to see which variety, from the mixed seed selection, will outshine the flower bed! Photoart contrasted enhanced, and chosen for a collage compilation, from the garden of Artography by Pamela.

The sunflower, known as a Girasole in Italian, Girasol in Spanish, and Tournesol in French, is a beautiful tall plant of the daisy family with very large golden-rayed flowers. It's a vascular plant with inflorescence containing many seeds in each flower head. The flower that's not a flower follows the sun each day, turning to react and bask in the rays. Vincent Van Gogh painted many views of these grand flower heads in his collections from France and Amsterdam.
