Description
A half open Sunflower floats in a starry sky bringing images of Vincent Van Gogh to mind. Vivid colors against a Space themed backdrop lends a contemporary feel to the overall photoart.
The initial photograph began as a sunflower closeup in a country garden, and evolved with digital paintbrushes and multiple passes at shading. I had fun creating the textures and color combinations to bring out a surreal final piece! The two widely known symbols of Van Gogh's art, starry night skies and sunflowers, are represented together as a whimsical element.
