Description

This photo is Twilight at a marina in north Texas where the light was fading quickly. Enhancements to contrast the light and a painted style were added. In late summer, the sunset created the best lavendar and magenta skies Texan evenings can offer. Moments after, as the sun was nearly all down, I got a second capture of the same marina. It appears in the album "Purple Collection" to accompany this one, and depicts the marina at night where I used special effects sometimes called 'flashlight painting'. A flashlight photo uses a timed exposure, requiring the camera to be set on a tripod. Additional light on the subject being focused on is seen by the camera, as the flashlighting light 'trails' and spots of light that appear in contrast to the darker background.
