Description

This painting of an uplit tree at night, showing effects of colored lighting, was the original mixed media on 8 x 10 black canvas. I utilized clear silicone as a texture for grass below the tree, which I painted with acrylics. Silicone also for Hilites for colored light effects on parts of the trunk. Other materials used were: sprayed watercolor, sparkle enamels, and acrylic paints including a day glo type paint of the blues you see. A final result was a fantasy effect of sparkling irridescence After the original painting had been exhibited, I photographed it and digitally created the bamboo reeds to appear as a bamboo panel for enhanced texture. A true mixed media artographic piece!
