Description

Ornamental Kale was the inspiration for this botanical piece. I wanted to experiment with different colors than the original photo so this represents a series of warm vs. cool shades in the same image. The shape is similar to undersea plantlife and could fit in with an aquatic theme as easily as fantasy art. A member of the Cabbage family of vegetables, Kale is often grown as part of an ornamental garden for its splendid, brightly colored leaves in Winter.
