Description

These blue sage or Salvia wildflowers are in Texas. This bunch was blooming away in the springtime in the Hill country of Texas, on the way to Wembley. It's not as easy to find true blue flowers as you would think, so I was delighted to capture these showing up along a roadside, near a lone grey stone.
Technical notes: There are a few digitally painted blossoms filling in at sparse spots where their color wasn't strong, and contrast strengthened against Texas sunlight.
Wildflowers are also known as native plants. Sage is also known as Russian sage or SALVIA.
